It's been 14 years since Mudvayne released their last album, 2009's Mudvayne, but last year, we learned that the recently-reunited nu-metal mutants have been tinkering around with some fresh material. Now, vocalist Chad Gray has confirmed that the band are continuing to make progress on that front.
Speaking with The Oakland Press while on the road for Mudvayne's Psychotherapy Sessions tour with Coal Chamber, GWAR, Nonpoint and Butcher Babies, the frontman confirmed that Mudvayne have four new songs in the iron right now.
"We've already been working on some stuff," Gray said. "We've got four [songs] in the pipe. I've written each one of them probably three different times, 'cause it's like nothing's good enough."
He continued, "We're gonna keep pushing. We're all getting along really good. We're all talking. Hopefully we all want the same thing from our music, so we'll see. It's definitely the thing that makes the most sense to do now."
Mudvayne's headlining tour is currently headed toward Texas and will invade the west coast before finishing up August 26th in Englewood, Colorado. See the dates right here.
