P.O.D. are feeling the spirit of collaboration. A couple months back, they teamed with Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe on a raging new song called "DROP," and now they've united with Jinjer singer Tatiana Shmayluk on another new cut.
Titled "Afraid to Die," the latest single is anthemic and catchy, fusing Shmayluk's powerhouse clean singing with Sonny Sandoval's fist-raising holler.
The track comes paired with a cinematic music video directed by J.T. Ibanez and Parke Fox, and you can blast it above via YouTube.
"Our dear friend Tatiana Shmayluk offers her unique approach and we had incredible musical chemistry with her," guitarist Marcos Curiel said in a press release.
"This is P.O.D. hitting the human core of our existence and dealing with love, fear, integrity, and most of all, family and friends. It's ultimately an abundance of love and life."
"Afraid to Die" is the second taste fans have gotten from P.O.D.'s forthcoming album Veritas, which still has no release date, but is expected to arrive sometime next year.
Earlier in 2023, Curiel teased that in addition to Blythe and Shmayluk, the record will also feature a guest spot from ex-Saosin/current Dead American vocalist Cove Reber.
Veritas will mark P.O.D.'s first album since 2018's Circles. Stay tuned for more details.
